Alpitour is starting to collaborate with Babaiola, the tripadvisor of the LGBT community with more than 20.000 travelers from all over the world.
Thanks to an agreement between the parts, in the next few weeks, several initiatives for the gay friendly and LGBT tourism market will take place.
Everything has started during the #CallForGrowth #Tourism&Entertainment of growITup, the open innovation platform created by Cariplo Factory in collaboration with Microsoft. Thanks to growITup Babaiola and Alpitor have met and started an engagement path that have brought to the collaboration announced today.
The partnership consists in a consulting activity realized by Babaiola that selectS for the big tour operator the best holiday solutions for the LGBT community.
For the winter season, Babaiola has identified more than 50 destinations among the most trendy ones, for example Spain, Mexico, Cuba and the exotic such as Zanzibar, Vietnam and Thailand.
“An important agreement that marks a fundamental step for the Italian tourism – said Nicola Usala – the gay friendly market is a brand new, in strong expansion and not explored from the big tourism agencies yet”.
In 2016, the LGBT tourism market in Italy has been estimated 7.2 billion euros (8.4 on the 2017 forecasting) with about 3 million travelers.
