On March 28, Europ Assistance was back to Cariplo Factory to show the results of the scientific research “Smart Aging: Over 65 e family caregiver a confronto and to talk about the engagement programme with the four startups of the Call For Growth Smart Aging: Care For Baby Boomers.

Enrico Noseda, partner of growITup-Cariplo Factory and Stefano Bison, Head of Assicurazioni Generali Business Development Group, introduced the event and illustrated the main points of the Call. The initiative, launched last autumn and developed by Europ Assistance, Assicurazioni Generali and growITup, aims to offer custom-made and specific insurance services for people born before 1960.
D-Heart and Epicura, two of the four winner startups of the Smart Aging Selection Workshop on November 26th, described their engagement and the work in progress with Europ Assistance to the audience composed by journalists, managers, and investors.

During the event, Europ Assistant presented the research “Smart Aging: Over 65 e family caregiver a confronto” carried out in collaboration with Lexis Research and the scientific contribution of Humanitas. Ferruccio Maffii of Lexis Research and Prof. Bruno Bernardini of Humanitas Research Hospital explained to the audience the results and highlighted the main actors of the research: Over 65s and family caregivers.
The research is a great opportunity for understanding the evolving behaviors of the Italian Over 65s, better known as”Baby Boomers”. In fact, due to the better living conditions and technologies, this generation has recently increased its demographic segment and it’s now considered a strong identity in our ecosystem.

“The future of health lies in the innovation of digital technologies that Italian startups are working on” declared Roberto Ascione, CEO of Healthware Group and host of the event.
